“Nature, with all its wonderful colors and images, shapes and designs, whether an animal or a leaf, inspires me to make my landscape and pictorial quilts. I enjoy the challenge of using commercially available fabrics which can create a realistic representational or a fanciful illusion of nature. Most of my quilts are machine pieced to which I add extensive machine quilting to accent the shapes, colors and design elements to create a one of a kind art. Lately, I have been making collage art quilts which allow me to add infinite detail to one piece while others are simply fanciful shapes and color, allowing me to work quickly and without a pattern or direction.”
