It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Betty Amador, a longtime members of Extreme Quilters, and one of our most artistic members on April 14, 2019. She will be greatly missed.


Sarah Hart's piece Spring Rebirth, After the Fire is part of the Seasons Exhibit at the Hillcrest Center for the Arts.  The exhibit runs from February 22 – April 22, 2019, reception March 30th 4-6 P.M. 


Sarah Hart's piece Indiana Summer was accepted into the Arts Council of the Conejo Valley's From the Field to the Table exhibit at the Hillcrest Galleria from October 26, 2018 - January 7, 2019.


Loris Bogue's quilt Monet's Gardners has been juried into the 2018 Dinner at Eight exhibit entitled Celebrating 10 Years of Exhibits. It will be displayed at Quilt Festival Houston, November 8–11, 2018. It is also featured in the December 2018/January 2019 Quilting Arts Magazine.

Rodi Ludlum is teaching two fabric bowl classes at Quilters Studio the weekend after the show closes, October 17-18, 2015. Saturday, October 17 is Beginning Bowl, and Sunday October 18 is Advanced Bowl Making, with curved sides or freeform. Classes are 10 am - 2 pm. Sue Rasmussen's quilt Rainmaker was accepted into the SAQA Oasis juried exhibition which will debut at Oasis Palm Springs in early October and then onto the Pacific International Quilt Festival mid-October 2015.


Loris Bogue has four paintings in Portraits, in the Atrium Gallery of the Hall of Administration Bldg., Ventura County Government Center, Ventura, California. The exhibit is sponsored by the Ventura County Arts Council and runs from July 17 to August 25, 2015.


Margarete Heinisch has a book published entitled: MI AMOR, Legacy Applique. In July and August she will be the featured artist at the Brigham Museum Utah, to include a workshop July 18, 2015.


Sandra Sigal's recent accomplishments: Surface Arts Association Challenge: Reflections of the Silk Road, October, 2014, Second Place for Heros of the Silk Road; San Fernando Valley Quilt Guild Quilting in the Valley quilt show May, 2015, three pieces shown: Mad Cows, Dreamscape and Girlfriends. Diana Shore had a painting/quilt in the American Jewish University Student Show on Mullholland Drive in Los Angeles. She was also accepted into the Sacred Threads show in the Washington D.C. area in June 2015.

Sue Rasmussen has an article in The Quilt Life magazine by Ricky Timms and Alex Anderson featuring her series of North American wildlife. She also has a quilt in the Art Quilt Engagement Calendar by the American Quilters Society 2015.


Sue Rasmussen's art quilt entitled Colorado Street Bridge is currently traveling with the Route 66 Exhibit through 2015.

Lisa Miller's painting Thanks Alice received an Honorable Mention by the Westlake Village Art Guild at its 2014 Open Juried Show. The Show ran from April 5–April 26, 2014 andwas open to the public.

Betty Amador and Loris Bogue had art quilts on display at the Proverbs CoffeeHouse in Camarillo, California, from March 22 – 30, 2014. The show was entitled Petals, with the variety of participating mixed media all relating to the world of flowers.


Loris Bogue's art quilt entitled The City 3 is featured in the February 2014 Machine Quilting Unlimited magazine. It is featured in the article Cityscapes, and is third in her personal series of cityscapes.


Linda W. Fisher was the guest speaker at the Santa Paula Society of the Arts on Sunday, February 9, 2014.
